Catherine Cone, originally from Falmouth, Massachusetts, graduated from the University of Vermont in 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education. She skated recreationally as a child but started training competitively in college, where she competed for the UVM Freestyle team. She continually draws inspiration from the adult skaters who compete well into retirement, and she looks forward to continuing her skating journey wherever she goes next.

Kate Mitchell '17
Kate Mitchell was a part of UVMFSC for multiple years. UVMFSC was an incredibly important part of her time at UVM. It gave her a way to keep skating competitively, which had been a huge part of her life before college, while also giving Kate time to try other activities and participate in campus life in other ways. Kate says that her UVMFSC teammates were an amazing community. She was also lucky enough to spend two years on the team with her sister! Kate is now living in Boston and working in a museum education and visitor services role at the Boston Public Library.

Emily Adler '16
Emily was a part of UVMFSC during her 3 years at UVM (2013-2016), and say's it was the best little skating community! She had transferred to UVM after her freshman year after missing skating direly from her previous school, she say's she was welcomed with open arms to UVMFSC. Emily was on the synchro team and also participated in a couple freestyle competitions. Skating has always and will always be a passion of her's, and she say's that it was so wonderful to share that passion with a group of equally passionate, silly, fun, and down to earth skaters. Emily recently moved to Anchorage, Alaska, partly because she fell in love with skating on wild ice! Emily works in the environmental field, and skates for fun on her time off.
