UVM Ice Cats
The UVM Ice Cats are a student-run spirit squad recognized by UVM Athletics that share a common interest of figure skating. The Ice Cats enhance the fan experience at UVM Men's and Women's Ice Hockey home games, and can be watched during pre-game and in-between the 2nd and 3rd periods.
The Ice Cats perform high-intensity and well-rehearsed programs choreographed by the captains at approximately 20 games per season, and they can be often be found cheering on the Catamounts as they take the ice, throwing T-shirts to the student section, and helping with ice cleanings each period.
We currently have practice once a week with off-ice warm-ups prior to each home game we are performing in.
If you are looking to join, the earlier you get in contact with us the easier it is! We encourage all skaters to tryout.
***The UVM Ice Cats are NOT a part of UVM Figure Skating Club, although many UVMFSC members participate on this team***
Don't hesitate to get in touch with our captains: Izzy DeGroot at Isabella.DeGroot@uvm.edu, Lexi Hoffman at Alexa.Hoffman@uvm.edu , or Claire Phillips at Clarissa.Phillips@uvm.edu
